When a repair makes sense
Isolated damage – a few broken tiles, a loose ridge, one failed flashing – on a roof that is otherwise sound.
When replacement is better value
Leaks in several places, widespread slipped or porous tiles, sagging, or felt that has perished across the roof. At that point repeated repairs cost more over time than a new roof.
Getting an honest answer
Ask for an inspection with photos so you can see the condition yourself before deciding.
